about
Source audio (in this case a live performance by MR & LC using a birdsong-manipulation instrument made with the SuperCollider programming language) is transformed by passing sequentially through many rooms (in this case 11 different sites worldwide, linked by streaming audio).
This recording includes about 90 seconds from each of seven of our sites: Edinburgh Scotland (source), Hertfordshire England, Brussels Belgium, Middletown CT USA, Vancouver Canada, Perth Australia, Den Haag Netherlands. You can hear the dramatic changes in quality of sound as it gets further away from the source.
